But in my mind twitter is just like any other social site around. There are some downsides to the service in my judgement, which are as follows.

Information

The information and the news is all very well and good being in real time, but what if someone wants to read up on older information, can they really do that? No, they simply cannot, because nothing is ever crawled so it is going to be a lot harder.

Products

Now this in my judgement is the main killer for Twitter and it’s something that Google are doing awry too. Google are basically trying to bring in a lot more real time results which people have posted and talked about. Every non tech person (the mass user) I acknowledge uses either EBay, Google or Amazon to purchase something, with Google in all likelihood being the first option. They do this because one, it’s easy just type into the search and away you go. Two, its highly relevant, Google have never really let me down when I want to purchase something, they always give me trusted sites. Now what could these product searches do instead? Search on Twitter and get conversations? No thanks, or create an account and ask your 0 followers to assist you out? Or I know, expand your network and communicate with people you have hardly met, but why? Why would anyone do that? People have busy lives and they do not have enough time to constantly update their tweets. What easier solution then to go to Google and type in what you are looking for, does it have to be genuine time. No, not at all, trusted products from trusted sites which have reinforced that trust with hard work and ingenious advertising.

Here are ten easy ways to increase your websites response with no cost associated with the improvements.

1. Add more content to your website, there simply isn’t enough on yours. Why? Because you can’t get enough content on your site especially if it’s good, relevant content. It will dramatically boost your search engine rankings and also the amount of time visitors spend viewing your site.

2. Add Strong Benefit laden headlines to every page of your website instead of lame efforts like welcome to our club! One out of one thousand websites has great sales copy, and they are the ones that are producing the best response!

3. Change your lead generation contest and promos every 60 to 90 days to keep them fresh and generating interest! You need multiple ways to collect data running in key areas of your site simultaneously. Then you need to keep them fresh by changing them every 60-90 days.

4. Don’t just send e-mail special offers, enhance the content of every e-mail with jokes, tips, cartoons, funny stories and other content that adds value and makes it 100 times more likely that the player getting your e-mail might pass it on to someone else.

5. Add a blog and get someone, anyone, to blog weekly. Blogs add excellent content, inbounds links and personalization to your companies website. They also provide an excellent and easy forum to solicit feedback. Good marketing blogs are everywhere. In this day of internet technology, your website is behind the times if you are not using a blog on your website. For example, they are becoming almost as popular as new marketing books for finding quality information about marketing. Five years ago no information about internet marketing existed on the internet in one easy to reach place!

6. Add a Twitter account and reach younger players, boost your search engine rankings and get specials and news out in bite size flashes!

7. Ask more questions in your surveys then load a whole series of e-mail offers into your site that are triggered by your customer’s preferences. In that way you only send offers to those customers who are most likely to be interested and respond. This dramatically increases your email marketing response rates and decreases opt out rates.

8. Add a Social engine, for your members or players to interact with others at your club.

9. Add a hover ad to your home page, one that must be closed to move on into the site. This will increase your data collection by 300% or even more.

10. Build vertical mini websites for key income streams like membership, wedding and outings. Follow a good marketing system to make sure you are doing the right things.

Get a comprehensive review and in depth report on how to get the most out of your Internet marketing strategy for just ,500 and you don’t even have to use one of our sites!

Call me directly at 352-266-2099 and I will tell you how to maximize your internet investment even if you are with another company and believe me most of them need the help!

It would not take a genius to guess you know what Twitter is. While the state of the economy is, at last, showing signs of recovering; driving new business and retaining customers continues to be a battle. Subsequently, marketers are working overtime with a host of strategies. Key amongst these, Twitter is winning a lot of new business

If, by chance, you aren’t familiar with Twitter, you can easily locate a quick Twitter introduction online.

Of course, you may just be happy with your current social network outlets, and these work just fine and should be maintained. It doesn’t mean you couldn’t add another plum to your pudding.

While other platforms offer more applications, this is their downfall. the beauty of Twitter is in its ease of use; for readers and posters alike. Other than changing a few settings once creating your account, and the occasional background change; you can do everything from your tweet entry box.

Direct public messages can be sent with the inclusion of the @ symbol and then the user name of whomever it is you wish to, whilst private messages can be sent in much the same way; substituting the @ for a D.

Because of this, (and the sheer novelty value perhaps), most people build up a network of followers in decent numbers, quickly. If you have your own website or blog, you can also attract very relevant followers by posting a follow me button on it.

Because of this ease of attraction, it is unlikely that many businesses would argue against its use. Whilst many businesses may benefit from membership more than others; that is not a reason for not being twitted up and getting your musings out there.

Whatever your missio0n; whether to generate footfall to a new hotel, or win more writing contracts; Twitter is the choice of the present.

Twitter is likely to be overran at some point in the future; but it needs to be considered alongside the likes of Google, Amazon, Ebay and so forth; it isn’t going to fly away just yet. Right now Twitter is the best in its field. Happy Tweeting…

You probably heard many times about Twitter. Everybody speaks about this great social network! But what makes it be so special? Well, you can share your deepest thoughts, interesting links and information just by using this microblogging service. Twitter users are allowed to have a profile page, an avatar and the freedom to post messages anytime they want to. Everything you write will be visible to your followers, being also searchable on Twitter search.

As a social network, Twitter is mainly a place where people can share with others messages and information. Instead of calling all your friends and acquaintances every time you find out something interesting, it’s easier to post a link on Twitter.

Communication on Twitter is public- anyone can see what you do and the messages you send. However, you can opt for a private profile and share your thoughts only to those who are your friends. It’s very important to build an interactive profile, because this will help you to gain more exposure. You can even customize your twitter background.

What about tweets? How do they work? Well, tweets are the messages posted by you (links, news and any other information). Tweets also appear on the personal page of your followers. As more followers you have, as more you gain.

Whenever someone decides to follow you, you will be notified by e-mail. In this case, you must follow that person, block or ignore him.

Besides the standard message, you have other ways to contact your followers. You can reply to their messages, “retweet” (repeat some information previously tweeted by another user) or send directly a private message to be read only by the recipient.

For some people, Twitter is a marketing tool used to promote activities, specific services or websites. For others, it is a simple channel of communication (a micro blog) or an alternative source of information. Therefore, Twitter may be unnecessary for some and essential for others. Many twitter users have their own blogs. They will typically paste a twitter follow me button right into their theme to attract relevant followers who share their interests.

Any investment banker or financial adviser in the city will vouch for the importance of good communication methods in succeeding in trading. They need to be one step ahead of the game in many respects and be tightly connected to the latest news. This information tends to come from a great deal of sources, including mediums such as press releases, business statements, cable news channels and many more. These mediums have served traders well previously but they are always on the lookout for more convenient and pioneering methods for getting and giving information. The phenomenon that is Twitter is now being adopted by city traders according to National Austalia Bank (NAB), as a means of staying connected to those in the know.

Twitter is a micro-blog tool that works by people uploading ‘tweets’ which are of 160 characters or less. What this means is that posts have to be to the point and not include small talk, which according to Trevor Keen of the City Trading Union in NY “is exactly the kind of information traders want”. Users within a certain niche, such as the Beacon sector, can follow other Twitter members who they want to receive updates from, and can themselves be followed. In the modern world of city trading where companies world in global markets, people from various different countries, sectors and time zones need to have easy communication channels. Twitter provides a central platform for people within different niches or medias to communicate instantly and en masse, allowing them to remain up to speed with latest news and events.

Some people have voiced concerns that Twitter could be used as a platform for insider trading as messages can be sent out privately to people using the site. Although supporters such as this multicore cables business are quick to point out that this was always possible via email and the real power comes from the ability to alert hundreds of thousands of people publically, which of course can be monitored for underhanded dealings if necessary

The internet is a very dynamic sector, one moment something is popular then the next moment its not. Currently there are three major search engines in the mix, they are Google, Yahoo and Bing and Twitter is also very much on the rise. So where will these major players be in a decade from now? Let us take a quick look at this and have a prediction.

Google

Currently the big papa of them all Google has more then 80% of the total search market in its hands. But recently it seems as though the company just does not have the push that it used to. They seem to be concentrating a lot more on getting into other markets such as mobile phones and operating systems. In around ten years time Google may well be knocked off of their perch.

Bing

Microsoft are actually doing some big things with their search engine. As well as rebranding themselves, Microsoft are also going to be joining forces with Yahoo and powering their search, as well as acquiring access to Yahoos technology and algo. We all know that Yahoo know how to analyse natural links and natural citations a lot better then Bing. So the two joining up may make them a force to be reckoned with, especially with the money that Microsoft could be putting into it.

Yahoo

Yahoos search engineering and engineers will exist on but the results look to be taken over by Bing. The two could ultimately rival Google.

Twitter

The new kid on the block. Twitter has spread an enourmous amount and has recently had a new homepage design, which looks like they are going to become a real time search engine. Can it be successful? Yes in all likelihood, but people want to begin seeing in reality real sites not merely conversations. So either Twitter will have to learn to develop and actually crawl, list and rank sites or end up being another social has been.

For the best SEO and great Web Design

Twitter has been one of the biggest sites for over a year now, people are literally obsessed with tweeting. But the trouble with Twitter is that it has never really had a business sector plan or model. If you look at the likes of Facebook who are now earning millions if not billions of pounds worth of gross income from ads.

But lately Twitter have been redesigning their homepage and if you currently visit it you will come to see that it looks a lot like a search engine. Is this the avenue that Twitter should be taking? And should they really be trying to compete with Google.

Ok real time searching is all very well and good, but I really think that Twitter will not be able to compete on Google’s level until they actually begin crawling and ranking sites.

They can of course keep the chatter and talk going but what happens when people actually want to see information about a site that has buzz.

But if Twitter actually think about this carefully then they could begin to out smart the likes of Google and Microsoft. Instead of actually ranking sites on onsite and offsite factors they can instead do it from the Twitter platform. Twitter will grow to reach every place in the world so anything that is currently being talked about deserves to get the coverage and because it is all controlled by Twitter they will easily be able to control the spam.

Anyhow if this does happen you can expect that Google will be doing everything in their power to take control of Twitter and integrate the algo into their search.

For great SEO and outstanding web design

Any investment banker or financial adviser in the city will vouch for the importance of good communication methods in succeeding in trading. They need to have their finger on the pulse and their ear to the ground in order to get a lead or a jump on the market before everyone else.

This is something that traders really like about the site as it forces posts to be concise and avoid waffle. Users within a certain niche, such as the obstruction lights sector, can follow other Twitter members who they want to receive updates from, and can themselves be followed. The financial sector operates in a global market these days and people need to be able to stay in touch with lots of different people who are in different countries and different time zones. Twitter allows groups of people from various sectors such as the media, banking and business to alert each other of the latest updates or discuss predicted market trends.

Twitter is a blogging community. Each blog post has to be 140 characters or less. You can follow anyone’s updates who has a Twitter account and of course they can follow your updates also.Let’s take a look at some of the ways you can make money on Twitter

If you have a lot of followers on Twitter , you can do both advertising and promoting to make money. That is, you can recommend a product or service that you sell yourself, or you can do it on behalf of advertisers who sell the product. You can also help advertisers promote a new product or service that hasn’t yet gotten much attention yet.

If you’ve got a business, a great way to get more traffic to your website is to run a contest on Twitter that gets you feedback about your products or services. For example, one contest might have the question, “Tell me how I can improve my product using just 140 characters”.The best answer gets a prize.

It is quite easy to do affiliate marketing using Twitter. This is done by putting affiliate links in your posts (use a service such as bit.ly that will shorten the URL so that it fits within your 140 characters, or use links within your tweets to take them to your own website. Twitter always automatically shortens a URL which is a great feature.

These are just some of the ways to get you started, but I am sure you will think of many more on your own. If you look at other people’s Twitter accounts you will get many ideas on how to make money on Twitter. Twittering can be both profitable and fun. So start twittering!

This month has seen yet another technology take off in a big way.

Twitter is a really simple tool that lets you post simple status updates (of 160 characters) throughout the day, much as you do in Facebook, and share them with people on Twitter. But where Facebook only allows you to share updates with your chosen friends, anyone can see your Twitter updates. Treat it as a micro-blog and you’re pretty much on the right lines.

The same issues with blogging apply to Twitter, You want to have a big following and to do that you have to write great content. If you’re already an established authority on a subject then it’s far easier to get a big following, but the great thing about Twitter is that it has a much smaller membership than the blogging world, so the possibility of becoming an authority figure is much easier.

So where do you start?

I started by looking up some of bloggers that I like and started to ‘Follow’ them. They often ‘Tweet’ or post an update where they mention a particular blog that they’re reading or mention a particular development and it’s quite interesting to read what they’re saying and what they’re reading. You can also listen in on what they’re saying to the people in their network so you can see who they consider to be people worth listening to and you can follow them too.

It’s pretty much like evesdropping (and not far off stalking!) when you approach it this way. But if you’re lucky, some of the people that you’re following might follow you and then, all of a sudden, you effectively have the ear of an authority in your chosen area.

That’s great, but what’s even better is that they have the ears of a huge network of other authorities and if you tweet something or post something insightful or useful enough then it’ll very quickly get distributed to this huge network of authorities.

So the questions are:

How do you get people to follow you?

How do you use this tool effectively?

How do you build a network?

Well, this is pretty hard, but there are plenty of blog posts offering ideas that you might want to try. What I would do is to have a really cool profile picture – one that’s really eye catching, distinct and memorable, a link to your blog (that will, of course, have loads of interesting stuff in it) and a very catchy profile – it has to be short (160 chars I think), so take time to make it punchy and attractive.

It’s not easy, but if you start to follow someone, you can guarantee that they’ll be checking out your profile so make it brilliant – nothing less. If they like what they see then they’ll follow you. Most importantly, make sure that all of your tweets are really worthwhile, cutting edge, thought provoking stuff on the subject matter of the network you’re trying to get into. You can tweet about your favourite colour and your broken toenail once you have good sized network. At the moment you’re marketing yourself so make sure you’re got something good to say, If you’ve got something interesting to say then people will want to follow you. Once you start to get a few followers then a natural momentum should begin.

How do you make the most out of Twitter?

Who knows? The main thing to remember is that good content always works. If you post good stuff then people will love you for it. If you read a good article then post a link. If you post lots of good articles then you could maybe post your latest blog entry. Perhaps you just read something and it struck a chord with you – why not mention it and share the love with your friends.

Imaging the power of having the ear of loads of authority figures and then when you post your latest blog entry then all pile in to read it! And it’s not just that they all pile in to read it – it’s that they read it and if they like it then they stumble it and digg it and add it to delicious. Imagine the size of that extended network? Imagine the sheer traffic that would drive to your blog?

But like everything else, use it sensibly. Don’t spam – you’ll lose all of your friends, be an outcast and probably die a loner in the gutter somewhere. Instead, use it as you would with your real life friends. Recommend stuff, share stuff, ask for favours, offer favours. Treat the people on there as you would treat your real life friends.

Good luck!
